Repair of unusual clock based on batteries. After short wait, was serviced properly by owner for only $10. Nice store setting, no skeezy characters in front like many San Marcos places, free parking.
I love this place. I stopped by for a watch sizing and felt like a walked away with new friends. They have my loyalty for all future business in jewelry. Thanks Towne Jewelry, Merry Christmas.
I stopped in to have a ring repaired. It was checked over and I was told in all honesty that although the stone felt loose it would not come out and spending the $25-$30 would be at my discretion but not necessary. I was so thankful for the honest answer. Not only did I leave without paying to have the ring repaired but they cleaned it for me too!! It’s refreshing to be treated as a person and not as a dollar sign. The jewelry in the shop was beautiful!!
I came here for the first time to have a ring resized. I had checked out other jewelers in the area but this particular shop was highly ranked and regarded, so I decided to give it a try.
I walked in and was personally greeted. The woman gave me a big smile and could not have been more welcoming. She politely asked what I needed, and upon showing her my ring, she brought the jeweler over and I got a quote right there. He was very honest with me, which I appreciated. I had brought in a Claddagh ring; he told me it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one. This ring has sentimental value, so that wasn’t an option for me. I appreciated that he was honest and even suggested that I don’t use his business! You don’t get honest people like that anymore who are trying to save their customers and honest buck.
I was told that it would be a week-eleven days. Today, less than a week later, I proudly picked up my ring. It was just the right size and they had cleaned and polished it for me.
I would recommend this place to anyone. They have fabulous and honest customer service, gave an accurate timeframe, and called me as soon as it was completed. I never had any doubts or worries about whether or not my ring would actually come out right, and as a first timer to any jeweler, with a ring that can only be sized once, they came through and did what I needed them to do!
Yes, we are engaged. So, off to the all the major jewelry stores in University Town Center Mall we went. We decided that we wanted something low profile and organic and flowing, not to boxy or HEY LOOK A DIAMOND! We learned a lot in the 3 stores we visited and found several sets that seemed like they could work, but they were between $3,000 and $7,000. We found some of the lower priced sets were cheaply constructed and were not pleased. Plus, all the rings are sized really small so I could barely get it past the first knuckle to view them. But, we knew it was just a beginning. Throughout the day, I kept saying that we needed to go to Towne Jewelers by the house because it was owned by a brother of an old client of mine.
So, a week later we went into Towne Jewelers and met with Tim Daniels, Master Jeweler and owner. Once he heard us state what we wanted he said, “Wait a minute. You want something that is classy, and sparkly that has some curve, but a low profile and at a great deal, right?” We said, “Well, yes.” He said, “I’ll be right back” and disappeared into the back of the store. He emerged a moment later with a bridal set in his hands, “Something like this?” We looked wide eyed and said, “Yes, exactly like that.”
When I tried on the ring set, and it fit perfectly both of us got misty eyed and knew this was it. My fiancé looked at Tim and said, “This is it. I know it is.” I, being practical as usual, asked through my tears, “How much is it?” Tim said, “Well, It just came in on Monday, I have cleaned it and inspected it and it is in great shape. You have about 1/3k round plus another 1/3k in smaller rounds in both rings surrounded by white gold. This would retail for about $3500.00 and up. I got a good deal on it and I remember you, so I will sell it for $1000.” We almost fell off our chairs. It is perfect and another sign that we are meant to be.
I will only go to Tim for now on.
Worked with Tim on a statement of repair letter on my wedding ring for insurance purposes. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and delivered great customer service.
Simply one of the best home town jewelers! Tim will take care of all your needs and there is a nice flow of new and different jewelry items to peruse every time I stop by. Their Citizen watch selection is very nice. If you need any repairs done… they will solve your problem.
